JOIKING
Updated: Mar 14, 2019
Can you decipher these Joiks? Jot down everything you think about as you hear this joik - sort of in a stream of consciousness list. Write a bit about language and emotion - in what ways is language "impoverished" when it comes to expressing emotion? Could music be considered a language? What other things might transcend language, in that we wouldn't need to understand the words being said to understand the intention?

Language is a worldwide thing that makes a big impact. Although there are limitations to it, having it be impoverished, one thing I believe in is that language when: used, changed, evolved has the ability to share and express a lot of emotions. Some of the ways language is used, is when its made into music. Music is language that is changed and influenced to become something anew. Music is one of the devices apart of others like readings and visual arts (paintings, drawings, photographs, and (physical) art pieces (ceramics, cement, etc.)), that is produced and used to help make a impact on everything and everyone around us.
